ORIENT WATCH CO., LTD released ORIENT STAR “STANDARD - DATE” this winter.

First created in 1951, ORIENT STAR is one of the most distinguished models offered by ORIENT WATCH, and the models have remained long-selling products. The craftsmen who created ORIENT STAR wished to make it an automatic watch that can be called a shining star in every respect, including the exterior, selection of each part of the movement, and manufacturing, as well as the design. This same aspiration is behind the name ORIENT STAR and the finish of each watch. The ORIENT STAR “STANDARD - DATE” is the first series of models with the ORIENT SAR (Super Anti-Reflective) Coating, which reduces light reflection by 99% or more. The ORIENT SAR Coating reduces light reflection by 99% or more by applying anti-reflective coating to both surfaces of the sapphire glass. To ensure even higher performance, it also adds a multi-layer coating and antifouling film to the anti-reflective coated surfaces. This has made the surfaces resistant to stains as well as scratches, resulting in outstanding visibility.
