A New Addition to the Orient Eminence Line - the FDW08003W0

A few months ago we introduce the first iteration of the DW08 “Eminence” Line in the FDW08004B0. Today, we’re thrilled to release the FDW08003W0, in white on a stainless steel bracelet. It features the same open heart dial and sapphire crystal that made the initial release of the Eminence popular.

The Orient Eminence FDW08003W0 looks like a very expensive time piece. But (as you know already) since Orient is an in-house manufacturer, their economies of scale allows them to price their mechanical watches at the same price that other brands charge for a quartz. The dial is not as bright of a white in color as are previous Orient releases, but actually more on the ivory side. It’s got a sunburst effect in the middle and a guilloche-styled pattern running until the end of the dial, from the start and end of the beautiful baton indexes. The hour indexes are three-dimensional lifted stainless steel that are a facsimile of the pointy yet regal dauphine hands. The open heart window is in the shape of a traditional circle, but a rounded and curved trapezoidal cut out which is refreshing in terms of unique design. The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal that bolsters the strength of the watch overall.

The case of the FDW08003W comes in at 41mm across and 11.8mm thick with a 46.2mm lug to lug width. It’s fully polished stainless steel throughout with the exception of the brushed lugs. The addition of an exhibition case back sweetens the deal, especially because of the added ribbing and decoration to the oscillating weight. Such a feature is rarely seen in watches at a similar price point. And at $450 MSRP, it surely comes at a fantastic price.
