Bold Blue - The New Orient SEZ07003D0 Enforcer

SEZ07003DO Enforcer.Still008

New to the Orient Sport line up this summer is the Orient Watch SEZ07003D0, named the “Enforcer”. The Orient SEZ07003D0 “Enforcer” is a natural fit into Orient’s Sport line, primarily due to the materials and design used to make this watch able to withstand whatever might be coming your way.

The Orient SEZ07003D0 features a subtle blue dial that has a light sunburst effect. In the sun, the dial will glow with a mesmerizing blue, but in the dark the blue is definitely understated. The dial also includes a power reserve indicator, a date sub dial and a seconds sub dial. Each bar index is made of mixed of brushed metal (in the center) and polished stainless steel (that run along the sloped edges). The finished metal really makes the piece shine in the light, and paired with the glimmering blue, the look is simply amazing. There is lume placed at the edge of each index in the form of a rectangle as well as on the hour and minute hands and the power reserve indicator hand. To top it off, the dial is covered with a sapphire crystal.

The case is 43.5mm across and has a lug width of 24mm. It’s a hefty watch, both in looks and actuality. The bezel is primarily brushed steel on the surface with polished metal on the beveled edges. The stationary bezel has exposed screws to create a more aggressive looking piece. A look from the side of the bezel reveals some layering. The bezel itself appears to extend an extra 4mm out from the base of the watch case, making this watch look extremely overbuilt. The bracelet is stellar as well. It’s a solid stainless steel bracelet with defined hexagonal links that mirror a kind of chain link design with polished metal accents. With the watch wrapped around the wrist, it feels solid without being excessively chunky.

The Enforcer sports a neat exhibition case back which displays a beautifully decorated Orient 46J53 in house movement, complete with ribbing and detailing. The oscillating weight is signed with Orient’s logo, a feature that’s rare and not privy to other watches in the same price range. The Enforcer is priced at $735 ($515 after using code ‘summer2013’), which is outstanding if you consider its specifications. Pick yours up before they’re gone!
