Diver Dual: CFD0C001B Pro Saturation vs. SEL06001H M-Force 2012

Orient's CFD0C001B Pro Saturation and SEL06001H M-Force 2012 are both solid diver watches, but read on to learn how these watches differ in this week's diver dual.

CFD0C001B Pro Saturation

The CFD0C001B Pro Saturation is one of the best saturation diving watches currently available. Built with Orient Caliber 40N5A mechanical, hackable, self-winding movement, the CFD0C001B has been revered for its accuracy, quality materials, enormous case, and overall style. Complete with a classic black dial, for an alternative dial color, check out the CFD0C001M.

Other features of the CFD0C001B include:

  • 40-hour power reserve and indicator
  • 300m water resistance
  • Stainless steel case and band
  • Anti-reflective, scratch resistant sapphire crystal
  • Date calendar
  • Lume at every hour and on the hands
  • Screwed-down crown
  • 45.4mm case diameter, 16.6mm thickness

The CFD0C001B retails for $2,150.

SEL06001H M-Force 2012

Perhaps the most important difference between the SEL06001H and the CFD0C001B is water resistance. While the CFD0C001B boasts 300m water resistance, the SEL06001H features 200m water resistance. While both water resistance measures are safe for diving and other water sports, the CFD0C001B will be able to better withstand continual immersion in water than will the SEL06001H. But that's just one aspect of the SEL06001H.

Other features of the watch include:

  • In-house Orient Caliber 40N5A mechanical, hackable, self-winding movement
  • 40-hr power reserve and indicator
  • Stainless steel case and band
  • Scratch-resistant sapphire crystal
  • Date calendar
  • Lume at every hour and on the hands
  • Screwed-down crown
  • 47mm case diameter, 13.3mm thickness

The SEL06001H retails for $795.
