While Orient Watch may be better known for their extensive mechanical watch collection, their quartz offerings should be taken seriously as well. They’ve released the Monterey, the Neo 70’s Focus and the Capital which have all been very popular. Today, Orient Watch USA is proud to unveil the UW00 Chairman, a classic, modern piece that will look great on the boardwalk and in the boardroom.

The Orient Chairman is being released in six variations: FUW00006W0 (white/stainless), FUW00005B0 (black/stainless), FUW00004W0 (white/gold tone), FUW00003Y0 (champagne/gold tone), FUW00002W0 (white/rose tone), and FUW00001B0 (black/rose tone). Each white and champagne model features a light sun burst dial while the black dialed versions sport a matte finish. The dial also has stainless steel baton markers and dauphine hands that match the color of the case material. The sub dials at the twelve o’clock and six o’clock positions display the day and date, respectively. These sub dials are embellished with a concentric graining that adds additional points of shimmer to the dial. The look of the new Orient Chairman is completed with the a domed crystal that is similar to that seen on the Monterey. This aesthetic feature really wraps up the classic styling of the piece.

The Chairman’s case size clocks in at 41mm. We feel that while the case certainly isn’t the same as classic watches in the past, it breathes more modernity that’s fit for the times. The bezel, sides of the case and snap case back are all fully polished. Orient opted for a sportier look with brushed steel for the lugs. Each model comes with a black or brown leather strap and matching Orient stamped buckle.

The stainless steel models (FUW00006W and FUW00005B) retail at $220, the gold tone models (FUW00004W and FUW00003Y) retail at $235 and the rose tone models (FUW00002W and FUW00001B) retail at $245.
