Going Retro - The Orient Neo70's Focus Now Available!

FTT1002 Neo 70's Series.Still037

Today, Orient Watch is proud to release the Neo70’s Focus line, a line of watches that are both fun and simple and perfect for the impending springtime. They’re all quartz chronographs and vintage inspired (hence the ‘Neo70’s’ moniker). What’s more is that Orient Watch USA has four different dial colors (champagne, grey, green and red) to choose from, all of which are reasonably priced at only $225 MSRP.

At first glance, the Orient Focus is a simple, unassuming piece. As mentioned, its design is inspired by Orient’s watches from the 1970s. This is evident especially in the 39mm case, which is angular around the edges. The bezel protrudes out of the case and the lugs are straight and skinny. The case is polished along the edge on the front and brushed along the sides that give it a fantastic dimensional contrast. The dial on the other hand is a different story. The Focus is offered in either a light champagne, a dark grey, a forest green or a beet red. Each color is set in a gradient—lighter in the middle and darker at the top and bottom, presumably to match the segmentation of the triple cut (faceted) crystal. The retro styling is also seen in Orient’s use of wedged hour markers and minimalist seconds sub dial. The chronograph registers feature a concentric circle graining that is consistent with the chapter ring of the watch. The small chronograph pump pushers top off this 1970’s inspired watch.

In all, the Orient Focus is a solid collection and will make for a great springtime casual piece. The TT10002C, TT10002K, TT10002F, and TT10002H retail at $225 MSRP but can be purchased for only $158 after using code ‘winter2013’ at check out.
