For some, large, modern mechanical watches may feel heavy and uncomfortable on the wrist, especially when trying to fit them under a button down shirt in a professional setting. Our remedy for this was our Contemporary Classic and Symphony collections that fit the bill in terms of conservative design, and underneath a shirt cuff without a problem. The Capital collection followed and became popular due to its near weightlessness (which is half that of the Contemporary Classic) which didn’t compromise its striking design and wearability. The Capital Version 2 is the same way, and though it sports a new design, it stands on its own as the new generation of a superb, accurate, all-around timepiece. The Capital Version 2 is offered in steel, gold, and rose, with black and white dial variations in steel and a white dial offered in gold and rose. The beauty of the timeless roman-numeral-based design is that each of the colorways can be dressed up or down, without looking out of place. The Roman numerals are skinny without being illegible, and printed in a black or white color that’s not terribly bold and over powering. The thin, fence post-styled hands mirror this sentiment, except for the white steel model with cobalt hands—they’re the real focal point for that design. The watch measures at 40.5mm across and 7.93mm thin. It’s actual weight is 1.3 ounces, making it one of the lightest watches in our collection. It’s domed crystal adds the perfect amount of elegance, and definitely sets it apart from other classic-inspired watches. Explore the entire collection here.
