We’re here to introduce an update to an old classic, from a collection defined by a detailed sun and moon display wheel: the RA-AK03 Version 5.

The Version 5 sports a new look that pays tribute to the original model with bar hour markers (Version 2, Version 3, and Version 4 offered either Arabic or Roman Numerals). The use of the bar index softens the tone of the watch. What’s not lost is functionality: a date window, a day of the week sub dial with a pinstripe detail, the sun and moon (night and day) display right below the logo, and signature exposed screws. For a collection filled with this many features, this new Version 5 model appears a lot simpler and accessible.

The new Version 5 watch is a bit slimmer than the rest of the collection. It measures at just 41.5mm across (down from 42.5mm), and 13mm thick (versus 14mm). It does sport a sapphire crystal topside, and supports 50m of water resistance.
