This week we’re showing love for the AA02, the second generation of the popular AA02 watch. It’s been upgraded in many of the same ways as the AA02, and we’re excited to share how. The AA02 has always been considered as the perfect foil to the AA02. While the classic AA02 featured a sporty, casual design, the AA02 exhibited a more formal, almost utilitarian look. This was contrary to what you’d expect from a design that consisted of bold hour markers and larger numbering on the bezel insert. With the AA02 the polished beveling was more prominent, in addition to a mixed finish bracelet that spoke to the classy and luxurious motif. In spite of all of this, the AA02 was later ultimately defined by its intense luminescence, shining brighter and longer than the classic AA02 in low light conditions. The new AA02 carries on with the iconic design, and is bolstered by a 120-click bezel as well as Orient’s newly developed movement, the caliber F6922. Like the classic AA02, the second crown has been removed, allowing for what some may consider a “cleaner” or “purer” design. With the AA02 you’ll still find a convenient 200m water resistance, a screwed down crown, and a comfortable 41.5mm stainless steel case. It is available on bracelet and rubber, in both Matte Black and Marine Blue. They are priced at $335 and $305 MRSP, respectively.
Here the Luxurious AA02!
