The new release for this week is the Orient FDW08002W0 Eminence. This particular model comes on leather and in a rose gold tone case. The dial accents and buckle are in rose gold tone as well. The classic white and rose gold color way works perfectly in unison to create a very elegant watch presentation.

Similar to the FFD0J001W0 in rose gold tone that released before it, the bar hour indexes are all in rose gold tone. The rich dauphine hands have been given the similar treatment. The lack of luminescent material on the dial and hands helps preserve the classic motif of the piece. The enamel colored dial has a light sunburst effect that picks up and gleams in the light beautifully. The features of the watch are identical to the rest of the Orient Eminence collection. It features an open heart dial, date calendar, sapphire crystal and exhibition case back. The caliber 48D40 movement has a decorated oscillating weight, and the strap is quite exceptional. While we’re used to the glossy dark brown strap on the more classic watches, the new Eminence features a matte brown alligator stamped strap. This gives the watch an overall vintage, worn look that is very handsome when juxtaposed with the rose gold tone case.

The new FFD0J001W0  is priced at $415. However, if you apply code ‘summer2013’ at checkout you can get shipped to your door for about $290. A great deal, especially for an in house automatic with a sapphire crystal.
