The new Sentinel is arguably the most modern set of watches from our 2016 Fall/Winter collection. The use of color and array of different textural finishes really help set it apart from other watches we’ve released. For instance, the dial employs a concentric pattern in the center that transitions into a sunburst finish along the outer edge. This creates a neat reflection, and allows light to catch the dial in a truly unique way. The hands also play a role in the quirkiness of the design, with a “hollow” rectangular hour hand opposite a broad minute hand. On certain models, the Sentinel features a burst of eye-catching color, with numbering around the dial as well as on the tip of the second hand.
The modest 40.5mm size of the Sentinel makes it instantly wearable. The case is mostly brushed stainless steel, with the exception of the bezel and case back. The polished bezel works with the textures of the dial, creating an unparalleled shimmer. The brushed edges and lugs are a great contrast to the brightness of the front of the watch, and serve to help conceal scratches on the watch. Additionally, the Sentinel is one of the first original designs to be powered by the new caliber F6722, which is automatic, hand-winding, and hacking. This movement can be viewed through an exhibition case back.
